Goodbye France :(

So, as I'm sure you are all blindingly aware, we are now in a pandemic. One that is spreading fast and bringing the world to a sudden, grinding halt. As a British National working abroad, we were given new information constantly.

"We should be alright till the end of season."

"You'll have another week"

"We'll start cleaning down now, but should get it done over a few days."

"We are leaving in a couple days."

"We are leaving tomorrow."

We were thrown into a frenzy of cleaning our staff accommodation, an entire hotel and all it's rooms, getting all the guests home safe, having one final ski, one final party and then, saying our last goodbyes. What should've been over the span of a couple weeks was narrowed down to a couple days, and there was nothing anyone could do. It was sad leaving what had become my own little family, but I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to meet them all and work in such a beautiful place. We were the loudest and proudest team in the resort and I am so happy to been with them all.

Alpe d'Huez, I'll love you forever.
